Free Financial Calculators

A growing collection of accurate, no-signup calculators that run entirely in your browser. Pick the one that fits your question.

How to choose the right calculator

If you're saving or investing money and earning interest on top of interest, use the Compound Interest Calculator. This is the right tool for retirement accounts, index funds, dividend reinvestment, or any long-term savings plan.

If interest is paid out instead of being added back to the principal — for example a short-term bond, certificate of deposit with simple-interest terms, or a friendly personal loan — use the Simple Interest Calculator.

If you're borrowing money instead of investing it, use the Loan Calculator. It produces the standard monthly payment and a full amortization table showing how much of each payment is interest versus principal.

If you have a fixed dollar target (a down payment, an emergency fund, your child's college) and want to back-solve for the monthly contribution that gets you there, use the Savings Goal Calculator.
